Today, Aluflexpack, a leading player in the European packaging industry, has introduced a groundbreaking innovation in aluminum packaging, setting a new standard in a highly competitive sector. The new product, 4∞ Form, developed in partnership with Eliopack in France, promises to revolutionize pharmaceutical packaging with its sustainable and efficient design.
A Game-Changer: The 4∞ Form
The 4∞ Form is an all-aluminum lacquered blister packaging specifically designed for the pharmaceutical industry. Unlike traditional packaging solutions like OPA/AL/PVC (cold form) and PVC/PVDC (thermoforming), the 4∞ Form is fully recyclable, offering outstanding protection and compliance with stringent regulations, including the newly adopted PPWR. The use of lacquered aluminum, indicated by the infinity symbol (∞) in its name, signifies its infinite recyclability without compromising quality—a critical factor for maintaining the integrity of pharmaceutical products.
Unmatched Benefits and Versatility
This innovative packaging boasts numerous advantages. It is lightweight, resistant to extreme temperatures, and provides complete protection against moisture, light, oxygen, gases, bacteria, and microorganisms. These properties ensure an extended shelf life for pharmaceutical products packaged in flexible aluminum.
Targeting the French Market
In France, the 4∞ Form will be marketed by Eliopack’s expert sales team, based in La Ferté-Bernard. This strategic move aims to address the specific needs of the French pharmaceutical industry with a focus on sustainability and regulatory compliance.
Meeting Future Challenges
Johannes Steurer, CEO of Aluflexpack, highlights the significance of this innovation:
“As a company specializing in flexible aluminum-based packaging for over 40 years, we understand the immense potential of aluminum, both for its protective qualities and its sustainability. Our ongoing dialogue with customers and our commitment to innovation have driven us to create a fully recyclable aluminum product for the pharmaceutical industry. With the backing of our strong network of suppliers and the expertise of our R&D team, the 4∞ Form represents a significant step towards a more sustainable future in pharmaceutical packaging.”
The 4∞ Form is customizable to meet the unique requirements of various pharmaceutical products, including antibiotics and over-the-counter medications, thanks to its robust barrier properties.
